Got back from the Philadelpha drop off event after 11 pm last night, woke up groggy but determined to get my life back into some kind of order.
Doing the 48 Hour Film Project is one of those "reboot" experiences; the day after you finish, you can't totally remember what you were doing before. Projects that seemed terribly important on Friday seem like ancient history on Monday. It's as if your brain had been put in the dryer and came out a slightly smaller size and faded a little. Maybe a full night of sleep will get me back to normal.
I'm wondering if I'll be able to continue anything resembling a normal life over the next two months, while doing a solo 48-Hour Film every other weekend. Is this heaven or hell? Either way, it's self-inflicted, so I'm in no position to complain.
yes
